You should definitely head north when you get to Albuquerque and swing through Durango. It won’t put you too far out of your way to get back up to southern Utah and Durango is awesome. If you do come up this way let me know and there will be some cold homebrew waiting. (as an added bonus my fiance and I just moved here from San Diego, where she was an arts and culture editor at the alt-weekly, so we could recommend stuff to do and see in San Diego that isn’t lame).
