I’m a little jealous sometimes of some of the tech/social communities in New York, especially Tumblr and Vimeo. Tumblr’s super easy to use, but I don’t understand why so many serious writers use it instead of Wordpress, but I guess if they’re all using it they’re more likely to be read if they use it.
I made the opposite switch a few years ago from Tumblr to Wordpress, but if there were a community of people using Tumblr I cared about and connected with I could see staying with it (and obviously I’m using Tumblr again now, but just for short form content, mostly to share things I find online).
